On Thursday, Anil Kapoor debuted his look from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. In the film, the 66-year-old actor plays Ranbir Kapoor’s father. In the new poster, Anil appears fierce, deranged, and’sick’.
Anil Kapoor’s first appearance
Anil appears in the first scene of Animal, sitting on a wooden sofa chair and peering at the camera. He’s dressed in a blue tracksuit that’s open in the front. Surprisingly, he appears not just intense, but also physically ill. His eyes have enlarged and turned black. He’s also wearing an IV drip, indicating that he’s sick. A slew of colorful flowers fill the background, which appears to be wallpaper.
Anil shared the poster on social media on Thursday. In the caption, he introduced his character from the film, “Animal Ka Baap…Balbir Singh!”
Reactions to Anil’s appearance
Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, Anil’s son and actor, remarked four bow-down emojis and two fire emojis on his Instagram post. Karan Boolani, Anil’s son-in-law and Thank You For Coming director, also reacted on the Instagram photo with a face with sunglasses emoji.
Bhumi Pednekar and Samiksha Pednekar, Anil’s Thank You For Coming co-stars, also put bow-down emojis in the Instagram comment section.
Concerning Animals
Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, and Suresh Oberoi all star in Animal, a mafia action movie. It is set against the underworld and revolves around Anil and Ranbir’s father-son relationship, which leads to Ranbir being a psychopath.
It is a collaboration between Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Cine1 Studios. It was originally slated to be released on August 11 alongside Sunny Deol’s hit Gadar 2 by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director of Arjun Reddy (2017) and Kabir Singh (2019). Due to ongoing VFX work, it was pushed back until December 1. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada theatres.
The Animal teaser will be released on Ranbir’s birthday, September 28.
Anil Kapoor’s next films are Thank You For Coming and Fighter.
