The Khichdi cast has returned, this time on a secret mission to Paanthukistan.
This Diwali, it’s not just Tiger who will rule the box office. The Khichdi team will return to theaters a week after the release of the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif comedy. The Khichdi 2 Mission Paanthukistan teaser sees the return of the popular Gujarati family on a secret mission in exchange for 5 crore.
What’s in Khichdi 2’s teaser?
The Khichdi teaser begins with stunning shots of picturesque locations and a voiceover saying that every mission is impossible at first, and that some are completed by Tiger while others are taken over by Pathan. The audience then learns about the mission that the Khichdi cast has been assigned for 5 crore. Hansa, played by Supriya Pathak, is already sick of being told to ‘work’ on the mission. As Anang Desai’s Babuji criticizes her for only spending money and not earning any, she and Rajeev Mehta’s Praful explain why she only turned on the air conditioner once a year (and never turned it off again until December).
Then comes the case they have to handle, as Kirti Kulhari reports Himanshu missing. Soon after, the entire Khichdi cast is spotted aboard a private jet piloted by none other than Pratik Gandhi. As he becomes enraged in mid-air due to their stupid antics, he is hit by them, and moments later, they are seen parachuting down, hinting at what may have happened to the plane. And in mid-air, Vandana Pathak’s Jayshree is talking to someone about the mission that has brought them all to Paanthukistan. In the teaser, Jamnadas Majethia also appears as Himanshu.

Khichdi 2 will be released in theaters worldwide on November 17. The adventure comedy, presented by Hatsoff Productions, is written and directed by Aatish Kapadia and produced by Jamnadas Majethia. It is the Khichdi team’s second film, 13 years after the 2010 film Khichdi: The Movie.
