The launch of the Leo audio system has been canceled due to ‘overflowing pass requests and safety constraints.’
The producers of Vijay’s new film Leo have cancelled the film’s audio launch, claiming that it was not due to political pressure.
The audio release of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming film Leo has been canceled due to “overflowing pass requests and safety constraints,” according to the film’s producers. The cancellation comes just weeks after a recent AR Rahman concert in Paniyur was canceled due to overcrowding and a stampede-like situation. Vijay, also known as Thalapathy Vijay, plays the lead role in the film.
Concerns about security
Seven Studio stated late Tuesday on social media, “Considering overflowing pass requests and safety constraints, we have decided not to conduct the Leo Audio Launch.” In response to the fans’ requests, we will provide frequent updates. P.S. Contrary to popular belief, this is not due to political pressure or any other reason.”
Archana Kalapathi, CEO of the multiplex chain AGS Cinemas, praised the move and responded to the cancellation with a post on X (formerly known as Twitter). “It takes a lot of courage for @7screenstudio and @Jagadishbliss to take this call,” she wrote. Our #Thalapathy will always prioritize the safety of his fans. Let us rejoice in every new development since today. #Leo will have the largest opening ever #WeStandWithLEO.”
Fans are wondering if it is due to political pressure.
The producers added a disclaimer to their post, insisting that the cancellation was not due to political pressure. Fans of lead actor Vijay, on the other hand, have been claiming otherwise. One of them commented, “Political pressure (heartbreak emoji).”
Soon after the release of the first song from the film, Naa Reddy, it was attacked for allegedly promoting smoking and rowdy behavior. According to India Glitz, the producers did not issue any statements but later added disclaimers to the song.
Fans are eager to hear Thalapathy Vijay.
Some fans also demanded that they hear Vijay, even if it was only on YouTube. “At the very least, Thalapathy’s SunTV / YouTube interview?” One of them wrote, “We need to hear our Man’s Positive Words @Jagadishbliss #Lalit @7screenstudio.”
