Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that although this Parliament session is brief, it is full with “historic decisions.”
In remarks to the media ahead of the five-day session, Modi emphasized India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission, the “unprecedented” success of its G20 presidency, the launch of the “PM Vishwakarma Mission,” and the inauguration of convention center Yashobhoomi, claiming that many developments have inspired and filled the country with pride.
There is a festive and enthusiastic spirit, and the nation has been imbued with increased self-confidence, he added, urging MPs to devote as much time as possible to the brief session.
In an apparent allusion to past sessions’ numerous demonstrations by opposition members, which often disrupted proceedings, Modi hoped that everyone would shed flaws and carry the goodwill when they moved into the new Parliament building on Ganesh Chaturthi on Tuesday.
The Parliamentary session starts on Monday and concludes on Friday.
