India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: India Post has officially released the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Recruitment 2024 results for 12 circles on August 20, 2024. The first merit list is available for candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Assam, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana. The remaining circles’ results are expected to be announced soon, as per the official notice.
This year’s GDS recruitment drive is aimed at filling 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak positions across 23 circles nationwide. The selection is based on candidates’ Class 10th/Matriculation marks from recognized boards.
How to Check India Post GDS Recruitment 2024 Result?
To check the GDS merit list, follow these steps:
- Visit the Official Website: Go to the official India Post website at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
- Access the Merit List: On the homepage, click on the ‘GDS Online Engagement Schedule, July-2024: List-I of Shortlisted Candidates Published’ tab.
- Enter Credentials: Input your registration number and password.
- Submit Information: Click the submit button to view your result.
- Download the Result: The merit list will appear on the screen. Download and save it for future reference.
Next Steps for Selected Candidates
Candidates shortlisted in the merit list will need to complete the document verification process through the Divisional Head assigned to them. The documents required for verification include:
- Class 10/SSC/SSLC Original Mark Sheets
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Physically Handicapped Certificate (if applicable)
- 60-Day Computer Knowledge Training Certificate from a recognized institute
- Submitted Application Form
Once the document verification is successfully completed, appointment letters will be issued to the candidates. There are two main positions under the Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment:
- Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM): Salary ranges from Rs 10,000 to Rs 24,470 per month.
- Branch Postmaster (BPM): Salary ranges from Rs 12,000 to Rs 29,380 per month.
- Chowkidar: Candidates selected for this role will receive a monthly salary of Rs 20,000.
