Strong Field Performance

Leading the 22-team field is Colorado State, which boasts a commanding score of 567. San Jose State follows closely in second place at 569, while Utah State and UC Santa Barbara round out the top four with scores of 575 and 576, respectively.

Sophomore Eli Huntington shone brightly for the Falcons, achieving a season-best score of 70 (-2), marking the third-best round of his career. Junior Brooks Morrell also made a significant contribution with a score of 71 (-1), representing his second-best round to date. Other key performances came from Cameron Kahle (73), Chris Park (74), and Carson Baker (78).

Morrell is currently tied for 15th overall with an even-par score of 144. At the top of the leaderboard, Colorado State’s Matthew Wilkinson leads the pack with an impressive score of 135 (-9).

Individual Competition Highlights

In the individual event taking place on the Silver Course, Colorado State’s Roy Williamson is leading the 41-person field with a score of 135 (-9). Following him are Wyoming’s Davis Seybert (137) and San Jose State’s Alaric Mercie (138). Notably, Air Force junior Eric Liveringhouse is holding strong in sixth place with a score of 143 (-1). Ted Davenport follows with a score of 146, while Alvaro Fonseca (147), Grant Samuelson (154), and Jackson Scaletta (155) round out the Falcons’ individual competitors.

What’s Next

The final round of the 55th Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational is set for Monday, September 23, at the Eisenhower Golf Course. The team competition will kick off with tee times beginning at 7:30 AM on the Blue Course, while the final round of the individual competition will start with a shotgun start at 8:30 AM on the Silver Course.
