Due to possible almond exposure, popular lactose-free dairy milk brand Lactaid has been recalled nationwide. The Food and Drug Administration reports that HP Hood LLC, located in Massachusetts, voluntarily recalled 96-ounce containers of whole, 1%, 2%, fat-free, and 2% calcium-enriched Lactaid Milk on Friday due to concerns that the products might contain traces of almonds that are not disclosed on the label.
The impacted merchandise was distributed to distributors and merchants between September 5 and September 18. Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming are the states where the recalled products were distributed.
