Sha’Carri Richardson shares her favorite cuisines in Dallas, especially Oak Cliff 2024 news
The sprinter will compete for gold in the 100-meter dash and began her journey to the Paris Olympics today, August 2. She easily won her 100m initial heat and will now race in the semifinals on Saturday.
Sha’Carri Richardson is far from home in Paris, but she just highlighted her favorite places to eat in Dallas in an interview aired on Instagram by NBC.
Sha’Carri Richardson goes with Golden Chick for chicken tenders. The business was formed in 1967 just south of Austin, but it is currently based in Richardson and has over 200 sites throughout the southern United States.
Sha’Carri Richardson recommended Big T Plaza in Oak Cliff as her favorite pizza spot. “If you know, you know Dallas,” she explained.
Big T Plaza, situated off Village Fair Dr., is a one-level retail area offering a variety of clothes, jewelry, and hair braiding establishments.
Richardson plans to have a burger at Blackjack Pizza, which the Dallas Observer describes as having “one of the most slept-on burgers in Dallas.”
Her go-to taco restaurant is Fuel City Tacos. Fuel City is located just south of downtown on Riverfront Blvd. and serves fast, affordable street tacos.
“There’s so many places, that’s why when I got home I have to control myself,” Sha’Carri Richardson told me.
She also mentioned Carter High School as her “place to have a good cry.”
“If I’m back home, and I want to unwind and be to myself, I’m going to my home track, from my high school,” Richardson told me. “I’m gonna go back to my home track and just sit there and take in the beginning and look at where I am now.”
