Simone Biles wins gold again following vaulting success at Paris Games 2024 news

PARIS, August 3 – Simone Biles’ desire to win gold medals showed no signs of diminishing as she soared over her opponents in the vault final on Saturday, winning her third gold medal at the Paris Olympics, while Ireland and the Philippines had a historic day in gymnastics.

Simone Biles’ effect extends beyond gymnastics, as she ignited a discourse about mental health after withdrawing from the Tokyo Games.

Simone Biles took a two-year hiatus from gymnastics after suffering from the “twisties,” a form of mental block that causes gymnasts to become disoriented during gravity-defying feats.

Now that she has returned, she is once again the dominant force in gymnastics.

Simone Biles came in Paris as the world’s most decorated gymnast, and she has since risen to unprecedented heights, winning 40 world and Olympic medals.

Simone Biles may add to her medal total by competing in the balancing beam and women’s floor finals on Monday.
