2023 NTA CUET Exam Pattern

According to the National Testing Agency, the Common University Entrance Test will have four components in 2023:

Language test in Section 1A
Language test in Section 1B
Domain-specific test in Section 2
Section 3: Test of general aptitude

The 13 languages that make up the 13-language CUET exam are Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarathi, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, Odia, and English. The exam is computerised.

The CUCET Exam Pattern divides Section 1 into the following two sections:

  1. Article 1A (mandatory)
  2. Article 1B (optional)

If you want to choose a language other than those listed in section 1A, such as French, German, or Japanese, you can choose section 1B.

There will be two shifts for the exam. In the first shift, you must show up for Section IA (the language paper), two of your chosen domain subjects, and the general aptitude test.

You will show up for the remaining four domain subjects and, if selected, an additional language test (Section 1B) during the second shift.

Take the CUET Mock examinations to assess your readiness and determine whether you need online CUET tutoring.

Admission Procedure for CUET 2023

I have fantastic news for you all! Only your CUET results will determine if you are admitted to one of 45 central institutions’ undergraduate programmes.

CUET covers a number of renowned Central universities, including Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University, Jamia Millia Islamia, and Indira Gandhi National Open University in the nation’s capital, as well as Aligarh Muslim University and Banaras Hindu University in Uttar Pradesh.

There won’t be any common counselling after the Common University Entrance Test; instead, each university will admit students in accordance with a merit list created by NTA.

There will be no weighting given to Class 12 Board scores in the CUCET admissions procedure. However, according to UGC, the participating colleges may employ a specific percentage of class 12 marks as an application requirement.

After the Common University Entrance Test, each university will admit students based on a merit list created by NTA; there won’t be any shared counselling.

Through CUET, these universities will begin filling the quota of reserved seats next year. However, the university’s reservation rules and regulations will not change.

Foreign students are not required to take the NTA CUET exam, and their admissions are granted on the basis of the current supernumerary basis.
