India Covid cases: With 2,060 new infections per day, the daily figure continues to drop.
The number of coronavirus cases in India increased by 2,060, bringing the total to 4,46,30,888. Ten more fatalities brought the death toll to 5,28,905, the health ministry stated on Monday.
The ministry updated its data at 8 am, and as of that time, there were 26,834 active cases, or 0.06 percent of all illnesses.
It also said that the national Covid-19 recovery rate climbed to 98.75%.
The number of active Covid-19 patients increased by 209 instances in a 24-hour period.
The report showed that 10 additional deaths brought the total to 5,28,905, including four deaths that Kerala reconciled.
According to the ministry, the weekly positivity rate was 1.02 percent and the daily positivity rate was 1.86 percent.
4,40,75,149 persons recovered from the illness, while the case mortality rate was 1.19 percent, according to the report.
The government reports that the country has already received 219.33 crore doses of the coronavirus vaccine as part of the ongoing statewide Covid-19 immunisation campaign.
On August 7, 2020, India’s Covid-19 total reached 20 lakh, on August 23, 30, on September 5 and 16, and on 50 lakh on September 16. On September 28, it surpassed 60 lakh, on October 11, it surpassed 70 lakh, on October 29, it surpassed 80 lakh, on November 20, and on December 19, 2020, it surpassed one crore. On May 4, 2021, three months later, and on January 25, this year, the nation passed the grim milestone of two crore cases.
According to the data, there were six additional fatalities reported in the last day, with two from Karnataka and one each from Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, and West Bengal.
