SL 50 all out in final, lowest Asia Cup total ever vs IND
In the Asia Cup 2023 final versus India, Sri Lanka was bowled out for 50, the lowest total ever in one-day international cricket.
India defeated Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2023 final at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, causing it to record its second-lowest ODI total ever.
After choosing to bat first after winning the toss, Dasun Shanaka’s team was completely demoralized by a spectacular Mohammed Siraj spell. 50 runs were lost by Sri Lanka in only 15.2 overs.
The score, which beat Bangladesh’s previous mark of 87 all out against Pakistan in 2000, was the lowest ever in men’s Asia Cup ODIs.
2012 was Sri Lanka’s worst performance in the 50-over format when it was bowled out for only 43 in 20.1 overs, leading to a 258-run loss.
