Tragic Halloween Night: In a heartbreaking and tragic turn of events, a married couple in Longview, Washington, fatally wounded each other during a violent confrontation in their home on Halloween night. Their 11-year-old son, who was in another room playing video games with earbuds on, remained unaware of the horrific incident unfolding nearby, according to the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office and local media reports.
The violent episode occurred on October 31 in Longview, about 50 miles north of Portland, Oregon. The victims, identified as Juan Antonio Alvarado Saenz, 38, and Cecilia Robles Ochoa, 39, sustained fatal injuries in a physical altercation that turned deadly. Alvarado Saenz was found to have suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest, while Robles Ochoa had both stab and gunshot wounds. After the son found his parents’ bodies in the kitchen, he called 911 for help. Emergency responders arrived quickly but were unable to revive the couple.
Investigators have since revealed that Alvarado Saenz and Robles Ochoa were experiencing ongoing relationship issues and were planning to separate, possibly adding strain to their interactions. However, it remains unclear who may have initiated the violent confrontation, as no clear indication of a primary aggressor has been determined by investigators.
This tragic incident on Halloween night has left a community shaken and devastated. The young boy, the only other person in the home at the time, is now under the care of authorities as investigations continue.
